Privacy Policy
SavePiks works on your phone. Your photos and videos are never uploaded, and there is no SavePiks account or server. The only data that leaves your device goes to Google, for ads and crash reports, as explained below.
Summary
- Your photos and videos are processed only on your device. SavePiks never uploads them.
- There are no accounts and no SavePiks backend. We, the developer, do not receive your photos, your review decisions or your settings.
- The app shows ads through Google AdMob. Where the law requires it, you are asked for consent first, and you can change your choice later in Settings.
- If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends a crash report with technical details. It never includes photos.
- Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on your device.
Who is responsible
The data controller for the SavePiks app (Android and iOS) and this website is Dirosoft (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at:

What stays on your device
To let you review your gallery, SavePiks reads your photo library and keeps a small local database on your phone. None of this is sent to us or to anyone else.
Photos and videos
SavePiks displays your photos and videos from the system photo library so you can decide what to keep. It does not copy them to its own storage and does not upload them. If you use iCloud Photos, iOS may download an original from iCloud to show it; that happens between your device and Apple.
Local review database
For each item in your library, the app stores on the device:
- the system identifier of the item, its file name, type (photo or video), size, duration and dates;
- the album or folder it belongs to and whether it is a screenshot;
- your decision (kept or pending deletion), when you made it and when the item is due to be deleted.
Settings
Your preferences are stored locally: the retention period, default filters, language, theme, haptics and sound, whether you finished onboarding, and internal counters (for example, how many decisions since the last ad and the progress of the library scan).
We have no copy of any of this data. The legal basis for this on-device processing is providing the service you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Permissions
- Photos and videos
- To show, review and delete your media. You can grant full or limited access. Deleting always shows the system’s own confirmation dialog: SavePiks cannot delete anything without it.
- Notifications
- To remind you when items in Pending deletion are ready to be deleted. Optional.
- Background task
- A periodic background task (WorkManager on Android, Background Tasks on iOS) counts the expired items in the local database so the reminder can be shown. It does not delete anything and does not send data anywhere.
- Tracking (iOS only)
- iOS may ask whether SavePiks can use your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) to show more relevant ads. You can say no without losing any feature.
- Internet and advertising ID
- Used only by the Google advertising and crash-reporting SDKs described below. SavePiks itself does not connect to any server of ours.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
SavePiks is free and shows ads (a banner and, from time to time, a full-screen ad) provided by Google AdMob. Google acts as an independent controller for the data it collects to serve and measure ads.
Consent
When you open the app, Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) checks whether consent is required where you are, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland. If it is, a consent form appears and no ads are requested until it has been answered. Your choices decide whether ads may be personalized and which partners may use your data. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
On iOS, the same consent flow may show a short explanation followed by the system’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. Your IDFA is only available to Google if you allow tracking there.
What Google may collect
- the advertising ID (Android) or IDFA (iOS), when available and permitted;
- IP address, which can be used to estimate an approximate location;
- device and app information, such as model, operating system, language and app version;
- interactions with ads, such as views and taps.
Personalized and non-personalized ads
Personalized ads are based on your interests and past activity. Non-personalized ads use only contextual information, such as the app and your approximate location, but Google may still use identifiers to limit how often an ad is shown, for aggregated reporting and to fight fraud.
Changing your choices
- In the app, open Settings › Privacy options to review or change your ad consent. This entry appears when consent applies in your region.
- On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in the system settings, under Privacy › Ads.
- On iOS, you can turn tracking on or off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
To find and fix bugs, the published app uses Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service. When the app crashes it sends a report with:
- the stack trace and the state of the app at the time of the crash;
- device model, operating system version, app version, orientation and available memory and disk;
- a random installation identifier generated by Crashlytics, and the time of the crash.
Crash reports never include your photos, videos, file names or review decisions, and we do not attach any personal identifier to them. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the app stable (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Google keeps crash data for 90 days. SeePrivacy and Security in Firebase.
International transfers
Google may process ad and crash data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.
Children
SavePiks is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that involved their data, contact us and we will help.
Retention and deletion
- Data on your device stays there until you delete it. Uninstalling SavePiks, or clearing its data in the system settings, removes the review database and your settings. It does not touch your photos and videos.
- Device backups. If you have system backups turned on (Google backup on Android, iCloud or computer backups on iOS), the operating system may include the app’s local data in your own backup. That backup belongs to your Google or Apple account; we have no access to it.
- Crash reports are kept by Google for 90 days.
- Ad data is held by Google under its own retention rules. You can reset your advertising ID, review your ad settings at My Ad Center, and exercise your rights with Google through its privacy help center. If you need help identifying a request, write to us.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD), you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
Because SavePiks keeps your data on your device and we run no server, we usually hold nothing that identifies you. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within one month and explain how to exercise each right with Google where it applies.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos,www.aepd.es) or with the supervisory authority where you live.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top. For significant changes we will also mention them in the app’s release notes.
